緒論
有髄神経線維に於いて,神経衝撃は絞輪部に於いてのみ生じ,且この部に臨界濃度以上の麻酔薬を作用させると,それと同時に,その部に生ずべき働作流の消失する事が知られている(田崎1))。
無髄神経線維が有髄線維の絞輪部と同様な怪質をもつた形質膜の連続せる如きものとすれば,麻酔薬を作用させると直ちに作用部位の働作流は消失する筈であるが,実験結果は之に反して,働作流は除々に小となり,麻酔薬が除々に作用する如き結果が得られた。
The general aim of the investigation is to compare the electrophysiological properties of the squid giant axon with those of the myelinated nerve fibers.
1) Repetitive responses were induced by a single shock stimulation when the giant axon was immersed in strychnine solution (ca.2×10-3M) or sodium citrate solution (ca.7×10-2M). Spontaneous discharges were also observed with application of sodium citrate. Therefore, it is the same with the giant axon as the myelinated fibers in these respects.
2) The action potential did not show any decrease when urethane of 5 percent was applied to a giant axon.
