脳腫瘍と免疫

Immunological diagnosis of brain tumor.

I．はじめに

　近年腫瘍免疫学の進歩はめざましい。免疫学的な面より脳腫瘍というものを考えると，その発生臓器が脳というリンパ系を有しない組織よりなり，また血脳関門という機能的制約を受けているという臓器特異性，また，脳腫瘍（グリオーマ）そのものが他臓器へ転移を起こすことはきわめて稀であるという腫瘍特異性を有する。最近脳腫瘍に関しても担腫瘍個体の免疫監視機構の変化，免疫療法などに関する研究も盛んに行なわれているが，これらは他の総説にゆずり，本稿ではわたしたちが長年研究してきた脳特異抗原であるアストロプロテインを中心に脳腫瘍の免疫学的診断について述べてみたい。

Abstract

This article summarizes recent our works con-cerning immunological diagnosis of glioma using antiserum to astroprotein (an astrocyte-specific cerebroprotein). Mori (1970) proved this partic-ular cerebroprotein to be astrocyte-specific with immunofluorescence study of human brain tumors and disignated it as "astroprotein".

Using radioimmunoassay, astroprotein in cere-brospinal fluid from 120 cases with intracranial disease and 8 controls were measured.
