An autopsy case of pineoblastoma: its histology and aldolase isozyme pattern

I．はじめに

　松果体部腫瘍は，諸外国に比べわが国においてとくに有意差をもって多発している^1）。その治療法については多数の報告があり，中でもtwo cell typeの松果体部腫瘍は放射線感受性がとくに高いことなどが知られてきた^{5,9,12,21,31）}。

　ところが，松果体部腫瘍の組織学的分類および呼称については長年議論が続いた。それは，とくにtwo cell typeの松果体部腫瘍におけるlarge cellまたはepithelioid cellのoriginについて見解が分かれたことに基づいている。とくに近年の多くの報告者はRussell（1944）^34）およびFriedman，N. B.（1947）^7）らのgerm cell originを支持し分類している^{1,3〜5,13,21,22,24,27,28,37）}が，なおHorrax ＆ Bailey（1925）^11），Globus ＆ Silbert（1931）^8）らのpineal parenchymal cell originを支持し，分類している一部の学者もいる^2,23,30）。結局，真の発生母細胞は現在なお疑義を含んだまま残されているというほかはない。

An autopsy case of a male infant with pineoblastoma, 1 year 5 months old at death, with a total clinical course of 11 months was examined with light and electron microscopy, and by the method of thin layer polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis.

His prenatal life and birth were normal. The onset of the illness was at the age of 7 months with complaints of vomiting, convergency of the eye balls and inability of sitting. Subsequently, intracranial pressure and upward gaze limitation were increased, and then a ventriculoperitoneal shunt was performed.
