  • Abstract
  • Look Inside

In order to study what kind of cells are proliferating in the brain immediately after the injury, and into what kind of cells they later change, we applied pulse-labeling technique in combination with electron microscopy and Cajal's gold sublimate staining. We injected mice with 3H-TdR between 24 and 48 hrs after stab wound was made in the brain. One group of mice was sacrificed 2 hrs after the final injection, to see what kind of cells are proliferating.
