High voltage-gated Ca channel (HVGC) is consist from heteromeric complex of α1, α2, β, δ and γ subunits. The α1 subunit consists of 4 repeating domains (I -IV) which has 6 membrane-spanning segments (S1-S6) and is sufficient to function as channel. Expressed α1 subunit shows channel properties; ion selectivity, voltage sensor, binding site of Ca antagonist. The β and α2/δ subunits are necessary to physiological Ca channel function.
