  • Look Inside

Transcranial magnetic stimulation is a new technique that can be expected to make a substantial contribution to investigation of visual system. We overviewed our current level of knowledge on the effect of transcranial magnetic stimulation on visual perception.

Meyer et al. (1991) and Marg et al. (1994) studied the influence of coil position/size on the positron of phosphenes in the binocular visual field, Amassian et al. (1989) reported that the effect of single magnetic stimulation of human occipital cortex on perception of briefly presented alphabetical characters.
