効果的でわかりやすい発表を行うために，スライド，ポスターともに聴衆の印象に残るような見映えを意識して作成することが重要である。1枚のスライドに示す情報量は多くせず，見やすく作成することが望ましい。また，発表の最初に全体の構成を示し，短い言葉や文で内容を組み立てることが推奨される。さらに，聴衆が理解しやすい発表をするために，事前練習を十分に行い，自分自身で発表内容をしっかりと咀嚼しておく必要がある。
