前立腺肥大症の手術療法に対する自覚症状および他覚所見による評価

Evaluation of Symptoms and Objective Findings in Patients Undergoing Surgical Treatments for Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia

　前立腺肥大症で手術を施行した患者35名について，術前および術後6〜12か月後にIPSS,QOL indexの自覚症状スコアと尿流測定，残尿量（率）および前立腺体積の他覚所見を測定し，各因子間の術前値間および術前後の改善度間の関連を検討した。自覚症状スコアと他覚所見との間の相関性は術前重症度，術前後改善度とも不良であり，IPSSと尿流測定の不一致例のほとんどは，IPSSが尿流測定に比べて重症度が高く，治療改善度が著しい症例であった。

We evaluated international prostatic symptom score (IPSS), quality of life (QOL) index and objective clinical findings such as uroflowmetry, postvoiding residue and prostate volume in 35 men who received prostate surgery, and examined the relationships among these parameters con-cerning preoperative severities and 6 to 12 months post-operative improvements. There were poor correlations with severities and improvements between IPSS or QOL index and objective clinical findings.
