　過去36年間に治療した腎細胞癌663例中，脳転移を認めた48例（7.2％）を対象に腎細胞癌脳転移巣の治療成績を検討した。また，脳転移のリスクファクターを明らかにするため．治療経過中に脳転移を来した33例と来さなかった615例を比較した。治療成績は，手術療法が施行できた症例の予後は化学療法施行症例よりも良好であった。また，放射線治療は日常生活動作を改善した。リスクファクターでは年齢，性別で差を認めなかったが，High grade,High stage，サイトカイン使用例に有意に脳転移が多かった。よってこれらの症例では，脳転移早期発見のために定期的な脳MRI検査が必要と考えられる。

In the past thirty six years, we have treated 663 cases of renal cell carcinoma (RCC) in which 48 cases (7.2% ) of brain metastasis (BM) were observed. To clarify the risk factors of BM, we compared the 33 cases who developed BM during the follow-up period, to the 615 cases who did not develop BM. The prognosis of the BM cases who received operation were better than with only chemo-therapy. The cases with radiation therapy showed an improvement of activity of daily living. In the risk factors of BM, there was no statistical difference in age and sex.
