無症候性後腹膜傍神経節腫の1例

PARAGANGLIOMA OF THE RETROPERITONEUM: A CASE REPORT

　44歳男性が，健康診断の際に偶然発見された後腹膜腫瘤の精査および治療目的にて入院した。血清ノルアドレナリンは異常高値を伴っていたが，高血圧や頻脈などの臨床症状は認めなかった。後腹膜傍神経節腫の診断のもと経腹的腫瘍切除を施行した。切除標本は5×5×5.5cmで，重量は45gであった。組織学的診断は良性の後腹膜傍神経節腫であった。術後4週目に血清ノルアドレナリン値は正常にもどった。

A 44-year-old man was admitted to our hospital for evaluation and treatment of a retroperitoneal mass, which was found accidentally during a health examina-tion. The serum noradrenaline level was abnormally high but the patient had no clinical manifestations, including either hypertension or quick pulse. The tumor was removed by transabdominal surgery under the diagnosis of retroperitoneal paraganglioma. The operative speci-men measured 5×5×5.5cm and weighted 45g. His-tological examination showed a benign paraganglioma of the retroperitoneum. Four weeks after the surgery, serum noradrenaline level fell to the normal range.
