尿管膀胱移行部狭窄による23歳女性の両側巨大尿管症と，68歳女性の左側巨大尿管症に対し，尿管折りたたみ法による尿管形成術を行ったところ，2例とも良好な結果を得た。本法は尿漏れの心配がなく，合併症が少ない手術方法と考えられる。
We successfully operated on two patients with megaureter by the method of ureteral folding. We believe that this method is safe and reliable for treating megaureter. However, if the ureter is extremely thick or wide, and the folded ureter is too bulky to anastomose the bladder with submucosal tunnel method, then we feel, traditional excisional tapering technique will be required.
