  • Abstract
  • Look Inside

A 40-year-old female complaining of hypertension and back pain, was diagnosed as having norepine-phrine-predominant pheochromocytoma by urinary catecholamines. Ultrasonography, CT scan and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) revealed a large mass (7 × 5 cm) in the interaortocaval space at the renal hilus. Of these imaging measures, T2-weighted MRI provided the most useful informations in respect to anatomical situation of the tumor. The patient was successfully treated by surgical extirpation of the pheo-chromocvtoma.
