　再発性膀胱炎で治療中の58歳の女性に左副腎原発の褐色細胞腫を認め手術を施行した。高血圧など褐色細胞腫に典型的な症状はなく，尿中カテコールアミンの軽度上昇を認めるのみであつたが，¹³¹I-MIBGシンチグラフィでは腫瘍に一致して強度な集積を示した。本例は無症候性褐色細胞腫として本邦で13例目である。

A 57-year-old woman, who had been suffering from recurrent cystitis, had an incidental mass at the left adrenal region. Echography and CT confirmed the mass, which measured 11 × 7 cm. She had never experienced typical symptoms of pheochromocytoma. Plasma catecholamine values were almost normal, while those in urine were slightly higher than normal. 131-I-MIBG scintigraphy showed collection of the labelled material at the mass.
