経尿道的尿管結石摘出術中に超音波砕石器の先端が脱落した1例

A CASE OF DISRUPTION OF THE BURR TIP OF THE ULTRASONIC PROBE IN TRANSURETHRAL URETEROLITHOTRIPSY

　経尿道的尿管結石摘出術は下部尿管結石の摘出法として確立されつつある。しかし，この新しい手技は技術的にも器械的にもまだ問題が残されている。われわれは術中に超音波砕石器のプローブの先端（burr tip）が脱落し，内視鏡的に摘出し得た1例を経験したので報告する。この結石摘出手技の安全性を高めるためには，より一層の器械的な改善が望まれる。

Transurethral ureterolithotripsy has become an established technique for lower ureteral stone remo-val. This method, however, still presents some technical and instrumental problems. We report one case of disruption of the ultrasonic probe in which the broken burr tip was recovered endoscopically. Improvement or instrumentation will be essential for the safer removal of ureteral stones by this technique.
