前立腺液細胞診で診断された早期前立腺癌の1例

A CASE OF EARLY PROSTATIC CARCINOMA WHICH WAS DIAGNOSED BY OUR EXFOLIATIVE CYTOLOGY OF THE PROSTATE

　われわれは独自に開発した前立腺液細胞診を行つてきたが，最近，本細胞診の確実性の証しともいえる73歳前立腺癌症例を経験した。頻尿を訴え，前立腺が腫大し，肥大症とされてきたが，小硬結を触知したため，針生検，吸引生検，X線検査その他一般検査に加え本細胞診を行つた。本細胞診にて，無数の癌細胞が検出されたが，他の諸検査はいずれも陰性であつた。前立腺全摘に踏切り，直径約5mmの小癌病巣（低分化癌）を確認した。

Since 1980 we have been performing our original exfoliative cytology of the prostate and recently a confirmative diagnosis of prostatic carcinoma can be made only by this method without biopsy. We experienced a case of prostatic carcinoma which proved the accuracy and efficacy of this method. The patient was a 73-year-old man who had been treated under the diagnosis of benign prostatic hypertrophy for more than one year.
