化膿性睾丸炎は比較的稀な疾患であるが，大腸菌を起炎菌とする化膿性膿瘍形成性睾丸炎の1症例を経験したので報告する。
A 45-year-old truck driver was admitted to Kofu City Hospital with 6 days' history of high fever and painful swelling of right scrotal contents. Body temperature was 38℃. The right scrotal contents were palpated as a firm mass of hen's egg size.
Routine blood studies disclosed WBC 10,100/mm3 and CRP 3+. Urinalysis revealed moderate pro-teinuria, 40 WBCs and 20 RBCs per high power field. Urine culture showed no growth.
