　本来病原性が低いといわれていたセラチアが，尿路感染症の起炎菌として注目されるようになり，臨床上軽視できない問題となつている。新設病院に近い状態で再開院した当科でも，セラチアによる感染に悩まされている。そこで，セラチアによる尿路感染の当科での現状を把握する目的で，主として臨床的検討を試みたので報告する。

During 4 year period from reopening of our new building in April 1975, urinary tract infection due to serrratia marcescens were found in 102 patients in the department of urology (98 hospitalized and 4 outpatients). Clinical and bacteriological features of these cases were reviewed.

The infection was observed more frequently in older patients and about 30% of inpatients over 60 years old were infected by this genus.

Other features of the infection were that many cases were associated with urinary tract distur-bances, or with previous history of indwelling catheter.
