From 1960 through 1977 eighty eight patients were diagnosed stage D prostaic cancer, which were treated at the Department of Urology, Chiba University School of Medicine. In thirty patients, which were followed by bone scanning, therapeutic effect and various examinations were studied.

1) Abnormal finding of bone scanning was seen in 97%, acid phosphatase in 90%, alkali phos-phatase in 87% and x-ray examination in 77% before treatment. After treatment, they were 63%, 30 %, 60% and 67% respectively. Acid phosphatase value seemed to reflect therapeutic effect.
