尿管扁平上皮化生の1例—本邦14例の統計的観察

A CASE OF CORNIFIED SQUAMOUS METAPLASIA OF THE LEFT URETER

緒言

　われわれは，発病より14年もの長い経過をとり，その間に樹皮様の組織片（角化物）（第1図）の排泄をくり返していた尿管のみに限局した扁平上皮化生（白板症）の1例を経験したので報告し，われわれが集め得た本邦14例の統計的観察を試みる（第1表）。

A case of cornified sqamous metaplasia of the left ureter observed in a 50-year-old female wasreported. Fourteen previous reports of the lesion in Japan including our case, five in male and nine in female, were reviewed. The age range of the cases was 16 to 72 years with the peak incidence in the third and fifth decade. It occured most frequently in the upper third portion of the ureter and ratio of left to right ureter was 8 to 6. The most common clinical symptom was abdominal pain caused by ureteral plugging.
