  • Abstract
  • Look Inside

A statistical survey was performed on 75 patients treated by adrenalectomy in Niigata University Hospital from 1970 to 1977. Six cases were phaeochromocytoma, 25 cases were primary aldosteronism, 14 cases were Cushing's syndrome and 30 cases were the recurrence of breast cancer.

In cases of phaeochromocytoma ascent of blood pressure during manipulation of adrenal tumor and descent after extirpation were very frequently observed. In cases of primary aldosteronism and Cushing's syndrome the fluctuation of blood pressure was significant.
