PHYTOHEMAGGLUTININ SKIN TEST IN PATIENTS WITH UROLOGICAL DISEASES

緒言

　近年，腫瘍免疫，移植免疫の本態が細胞性免疫であることが明らかになり，臨床的な細胞性免疫機能検査法の確立が望まれている。

　リンパ球の腫瘍細胞に対する殺細胞性を調べる特異的な方法は別として，リンパ球のsubpopula-tionの定量さらには，T-リンパ球のsubsetの定量やphytohemagglutinin（PHA）などをmitogenとしてのリンパ球の幼若化よりT-リンパ球の機能を知る方法など菲特異的な細胞性免疫機能検査法も確立されつつある。

The purpose of this paper was to see whether phytohemagglutinin (PHA) skin test is useful for determination of nonspecific cellular immunity in urological diseases.

Purified PHA (Wellcome) was dissolved in physiological saline and 5mcg of the solution was injected intracutaneously. After 24 hours the major and minor axis of the developed erythema were measured and the square root of their product was calculated.
