女子反覆性膀胱炎について—第1報：外用薬剤の効果

RECURRENT ACUTE CYSTITIS IN WOMEN:(1) THE EFFECT OF TOPICAL ANTIMICRO-BIRAL OINTMENT

　われわれは数年来，女子反覆性膀胱炎に対して，尿中および外陰部菌群の面より検討しており，膀胱炎治癒後も外陰部に棲息する細菌が膀胱炎反覆の原因の一つである可能性について既に報告した^1）。今回その結果を基に膀胱炎反覆と遠位尿道部細菌の関係を検討し，併せて外陰部に対する局所療法による膀胱炎反覆の予防効果を追求したので，その概要を報告する。

Twenty-eight female patients with recurrent episodes of acute cystitis were studied to determine (1) the relationship of the urethral bacteria to recurrent cystitis and (2) the effectiveness of topical anti-bacterial ointment (povidone-iodine, Chlorhexidie) applied over the external meatus to prevent recurrent cystitis.

1) The urethral bacteria, presumably pathogenic for urinary infection, were positive in 87.5 per cent of all cases, and 10.6 per cent of 19 control cases. We therefore conclude that the exis- tence of urethral bacteria has been significantly implicated to the recurrence of cystitis.
