SUBTRACTION IN UROLOGICAL ANGIOGRAPHY

はじめに

　レントゲン撮影におけるSubtraction法は，1953年Ziedses des Plantcsにより開発された方法であるが，オランダ語，ベルギー語などで記載されたために長らく日の目をみなかつた^1）。しかし，1962年William Hanaffeeらにより英文の紹介がなされるや手技の簡単なことも加わり，急速に普及するにいたつたのである^2）。

　Subtraction法とは，造影剤陰影のみを残し背影の骨陰影などを消却してしまう方法である。簡単に原理を説明するならば，同一写真の陽画と陰画では黒白逆の関係にあることから，これらを重ね合せると像が消失してしまうことになる。これをレントゲン写真に応用し，前もつて撮影しておいた単純写真の陰画を造影剤注入後の陽画に重ねるのである。この操作で単純写真で撮影されていた像は消却されてしまい，造影剤陰影のみが浮き彫りにされるわけである。

Subtraction method in X-ray photography was first developted by Ziedses des Plantes in 1953 but did not become popular since it was discribed in Belgian language till quite recently. Subtraction method is a method to outline only the findings obtained by the dye and vanish the findings outlined by the plain film by superimposing the 2 films taken after injecting the dye and the plain film.

This method was applied on the 20 cases of angiogram taken recently. The diagnostic value was excelent since only the vascular part was outlined in every case.
