最近病棟内に多発した緑膿菌感染症について

Ⅰ．はじめに

　種々の化学療法剤および抗生物質（以下化学療法剤と称す）の出現によつて細菌感染症に対して極めて有力な対抗手段を得た筈であるが，これらの使用経験が重ねられるにつれて，2, 3の厄介な問題が派生してきた。その1つは病原菌の耐性獲得であり，他は病原性の強い細菌が抑制されたあとで，他の比較的病原性が弱いとみられてきたが，感受性の低い細菌の感染が臨床面に擡頭してきたことである。すなわち，グラム陰性の桿菌，耐性ブドウ球菌および真菌感染症などの問題である。

　最近，我々は病棟内で緑膿菌感染が多発し，漸くこれを治めえたので，ここにその転末を報告する次第である。

Continuous infection of pseudomonas occured in the ward of the urological department at Niigata University Hospital from September to October, 1967. They were identified in 13 cases (10 male and 3 female) and among them 11 were wound infections and 4 were urinary tract infections. The type of surgery performed before the infections started, were 3 nephrectomies, 3 ureterocutaneous fistulas, 2 ureterolithotomies, 2 repairs of vesical fistulas and one case of prostatectomy. In 2 other cases, the flora was identified after cystoscopy and ureteral catheterization.
