豚のringwormから分離したMicrosporum nanumについて

MICROSPORUM NANUM ISOLATED FROM SWINE RINGWORM

　著者らは，これまで馬，牛，犬，猫，猿およびラッテの各ringwormについて報告し，これの原因菌として，Microsporum canis, M．gypseum，Trichophyton mentagrophytcs, T．verrucosumおよびT．simiiを分離同定した^27）．

　また好ケラチン性真菌についての土壌調査においては，M．gypseum^24），M．cookei^25），Keratino-myces ajelloi^24），Chrysosporium keratinophilum^26），C．tropicumなどの菌を分離同定した^27）．

Swine ringworm caused by Microsporum nanum was diagnosed in a certain herd of swine in Ibaraki Pre-fecture in 1970. Infected pigs were mainly inported from Great Britain. It seemed that ringworm occurred after introducing the pigs from that country to the herd. It is interesting that no paper on M. mown has been reported in Great Britain to the auther's knowledge.

The first isolation of M.nanum in .Japan was reported and papers on this dermatophyte were reviewed.
