  • Look Inside

A case of this disease in a 34-year-old man with polyarthritis, urethritis, and thick scales on exudative erythema was reported. The disease started at the age of 27, and showed two occasions of ex-acerbation at the age of 33 and 34. After that time it has been in the incomplete remission and he has been suffered from a mild arthritis and eruptions.

The skin lesions were red papules or vesicles at first, which developed to the exudative erytherna. Thick rupia-like hyperkcratotic scales on the soles, back of the feet, and lower legs, and large erythe-matosquamous plaques on the extremities, axillac, and genito femoral regions were noted. No sub-jective sensations were complained.

Histologic specimen showed the hyperkeratosis and Kogqj's spongiform pustulation. Micoplasma was failed to be proved from the joint fluid and urine.

Laboratory tests showed abnormal results in CRP, e.s.r, and α2-globulin level according to the state of the disease, while STS and RA were negative.

Symptomatically glycocorticosteroid, butazolidin, and salicylic acid showed effect.
