 Two cases of this disease treated with almost the same procedures were reported.

 Case 1 : Epidermolysis bullosa hereditaria dystrophica et polydysplasia. He survived until the age of 7 years and 6 months. The basement membrane at the bullous lesion was proved to be attached to the epidermis by the light- and electron-microscope.

 Case 2 : Epidermolysis bullosa hereditaria letaris. He died at the age of 6 months. The basement membrane was proved to be attached to the dermis by the light microscope.

 The results of histological studies on the location of the basement membrane at the bullous lesion of the already reported cases of this disease from Kanazawa University were discussed.

 The discussion and review on the relationships between the histological locations of the bullae and the prognosis of the patients were performed.
