Recent advances in computer technology have made it possible to reconstruct three-dimensional CT images (3D-CT) from axial CT images.

The usefulness of 3D-CT in two eases of mul-tiple facial fractures was evaluated. We found that 3D-CT facilitated the correct evaluation of pre-operative situation and postoperative status of the fractures by producing the very realistic images and the images from angles that cannot be ob-tained by conventional radiological methods.

In conclusion, 3D-CT should widely be used in otolaryngology as a useful aid for treating facial fractures.
