はじめに
鼓膜穿孔閉鎖術は穿孔縁を硝酸銀などの薬品で焼灼する方法,穿孔を筋膜や結合織で閉鎖し糊付けする方法1〜6)などがあるが,レーザーによる方法はまだあまり行われていない。
本稿では,CO2レーザーによる方法を試みたので報告する。
CO2 laser proved to be effective for closure of perforation of the eardrum. A case of chronic middle ear inflammation is presented. In this case the perforation of the eardrum was healed through four applications of laser radiation. His hearingimproved.
A small ball of cotton with an anesthetic solution is first applied to the perforation. Then a small piece of Spongel® dipped in saline solution is insert-ed into the middle ear through the perforation. The margin of the perforation is then vaporized micro-scopically with CO2 laser through a Mochida 10S Endoscope Fiber. The piece of Spongel® is then picked out of the middle ear and the perforation is patched with a sheet of Beschitin-W®.
