シナノキ材による職業性鼻アレルギーの1例

Occupational Allergic Rhinitis induced by Japanese Linden Wood Dust:A Case Report

　はじめに

　職業性アレルギーは，職業特有の物質に曝露され，それが抗原となって一定期間をおいて発症するアレルギー反応である。これまでに多くの動物性，植物性，化学性物質が検出されている^1）。建貝職人などにみられる木材粉塵アレルギーは，これまで米スギ，ラワン，リョウブなどが原因として報告されてきた^2）。シナノキ材はベニヤ材のほか割箸やアイスクリームのへらなど日常生活において広く繁用される木材である。最近われわれは，きわめてまれなシナノキ材による職業性アレルギー症例を経験したので報告する。

A 45-year-old female with allergic rhinitis due to Japanese linden wood dust was reported. She han-died Japanese linden wood to make chopsticks at a lumbermill for 16 years. The patient had been suf-fering from itchy nose, nasal discharge and sneezing accompanied with respiratory and dermatological problems.

The diagnosis was confirmed by positive skin test with wood dust extract. Treatment with sodium cromoglycate and antihistamine was effective.
