顔面に発生した結節性筋膜炎の1症例

Nodular Fasciitis in the Face:Report of a Case

　はじめに

　結節性筋膜炎は1955年Konwalerら^1）によって報告された良性疾患で，臨床的には短時間に増大する硬い皮下あるいは筋組織周囲の腫瘤であり，また病理学的には細胞成分が多くかつ分裂も認められるため悪性腫瘍と診断されることも多いようである。

　今回われわれは生検によって同疾患と診断された顔面の腫瘤を経験したので，併せて若干の文献的考察を加えて報告する。

A 20-year-old woman complained of a hard mass of 2 months' duration in the right mandibular region. The findings of the mass strongly suggested a mandibular tumor. Ultrasonography, CT and MRimagings were unable to determine whether this mass was malignant or not.

A surgical exploration by transoral approach was performed but a total excision was impossible. Biopsy showed nodular fasciitis and the patient underwent no further treatment. The postoperative course was uneventful and there was no change in the size of the mass postoperatively.
