高カルシウム血症を伴った甲状腺扁平上皮癌の1例

Primary Squamous Cell Carcinoma of the Thyroid Gland accompanied with Hypercalcemia:Report of a Case

　はじめに

　甲状腺の悪性腫瘍のほとんどは分化型腺癌であり，扁平上皮癌は約1％と極めて稀である^1〜4）。甲状腺扁平上皮癌は予後が極めて不良で，その発生起源に関しさまざまな説があげられ注目されている。今回，初回の生検では乳頭状腺癌と扁平上皮癌の両者の像がみられ，手術時の摘出標本においては扁平上皮癌のみの像を呈した1例を経験したので，文献的考察を加え報告する。さらにこの症例は経過中に高カルシウム血症を呈した。これについても考察を加えたい。

A 47-year-old man who developed dyspnea and received an emergency tracheotomy. A tumor invaded to the trachea and upper mediastinum. After chemotherapy and radiotherapy he received a radical operation, but four months after the operation he died.

The primary lesion of squamous cell carcinoma and the cause of hypercalcemia were discussed.
