末梢性顔面神経麻痺を初発とした第4脳室腫瘍の1例

A Peripheral Facial Nerve Paralysis Caused by a 4 th Ventricular Tumor:Report of a Case

　はじめに

　末梢性顔面神経麻痺は，その障害部位として小脳橋角部，側頭骨内およびそれより末梢であることが大多数である。しかし稀には橋にある顔面神経核および顔面神経髄内部の病変によって起こることも報告されている^1〜3）。

　今回，われわれは末梢性顔面神経麻痺を初発とし，その障害部位として第4脳室腫瘍による髄内部の圧迫が考えられた1例を経験したので報告する。

A 28-year-old female with a gradually progres-sed peripheral facial nerve paralysis was presented. She had normal taste and tearing functions, accordingly it seemed as if her palsy was caused by intra-or infra-temporal lesions. She had normal hearing with gaze nystagmus. These findings suggested that her facial palsy was causd by brainstem lesions.

A tumor of the 4 th ventricul was found by CT-scan and was confirmed in the operation. To determine the lesion causing facial palsy, it is necessary to make examination of both audiolo-gical and vestibular functions.
