頸部に発生した異所性胸腺腫の1例

A case of ectopic cervical thymoma

はじめに

　異所性胸腺から胸腺腫が発生することは稀である。異所性胸腺腫は前側頸部，甲状腺下極内側や近傍に位置することが多い^1）。今回，われわれは術後に診断に至った頸部に発生した異所性胸腺腫の1例を経験したので，若干の文献的考察を加えて報告する。

　A 68-year-old male was referred to our hospital with an enlarging mass in the anterior region of his neck. CT showed an upper mediastinal tumor in the lower pole in the left thyroid lobe. We suspected a thyroid tumor before surgery and performed resection of the left robe. Histologically, the tumor was diagnosed as an ectopic cervical thymoma. A thymoma occurring in ectopic tissue is rare.

　According to NCCN guidelines, we decided the observation is the postoperative treatment plan.
