舌骨骨折の2例

Two Cases of Hyoid Bone Fracture

I．はじめに

　舌骨は周囲を軟部組織に囲まれ，可動性があり，さらに下顎骨により保護されているため外力の影響を受けにくく，損傷されにくい。喉頭外傷にさいしても舌骨の損傷を合併することは少ない。われわれは最近，舌骨骨折2例を経験したので報告する。

Case 1 is a 20-year-old male who developedanterior neck pain after thrusted in "Jukendo". X-ray examination showed a fracture of the hyoid bone. The pain on swallowing was increased gradually, and edema of the larynx was found. The sharp end of the fractured bone was surgi-cally removed and his symptoms disappeared. Case 2 is a 37-year-old male who complained of anterior neck pain after grasped his neck at fight, and the pain healed by conservative therapy. The etiology, symptoms and signs, diagnosis and treatment of hyoid bone fracture were discussed.
