輪状甲状靭帯切開によって救命し得た深頸部感染症の1例

Deep neck infection treated by cricothyroidotomy：a case report

はじめに

　深頸部感染症は頸部の間隙に蜂窩織炎や膿瘍を生ずる重篤な疾患であり，気道狭窄によって窒息死する危険がある^1）。そのため気道確保が重要な問題となるが，気管内挿管で対処できることが多いが今回われわれは気道狭窄が著明なため気管内挿管ができず，輪状甲状靭帯切開によって気道を確保せざるを得なかった症例を経験したので若干の文献的考察を交えて報告する。

　Deep neck infection may cause fatal airway obstruction. Cricothyroidotomy can provide speedy and easily in the emergency department, but it is an emergent procedure with high risk of the complications. We presented a 78-year-old man with deep neck infection saved by cricothyroidotomy.
