長さ1mの食道異物症例

A case of esophageal foreign body of 1 m in length

はじめに

　約25cmの食道^1）に約1mの長さの異物が長期間，食道に停留しているとは一般には考え難い。しかし，今回，われわれは，約1mの電気コードが長期間，食道に停留していた認知症をもつ稀な食道異物症例を経験したので報告する。

　We reported a rare case of esophageal foreign body due to an electric cord of about 1 m in length. A 78-year-old male with dementia presented with sore throat. Laryngeal fiberoscopy demonstrated left arytenoid swelling. Roentgenogram of the lateral view of the neck demonstrated a shadow of foreign body like a tube in his prevertebral tissue. The foreign body was removed with gastroduodenoscopy. The foreign body was confirmed as an electric cord measuring 1 m in length. When the patient with dementia demonstrated unilateral arytenoid swelling, we suggested that X-ray examination should be performed to research any esophageal foreign body.
