ステロイド大量投与を行わなかった原田病患者発症10年後の転帰

Ten-year outcome of Harada's disease without massive corticosteroid therapy

（展示116）　ステロイド大量療法を行わなかった49症例中，臨床的観察のできた26症例につき，視力，合併症，遷延例の有無につき検索した。経過観察期間は最低8年6か月，最高15年，平均11年3か月であった。視力1.0以上が84％，0.5〜0.9が8％，0.1〜0.4は6％，0.01〜0.09が2％であり，合併症は併発白内障18％，遷延例は0（ゼロ）であった。ステロイド大量療法を行わなかった症例の大部分は，長期経過後も良好な予後を維持することが明らかになった。原田病が、ステロイド大量療法を行わずとも治癒する疾患であることを示している。

We reviewed the longterm course of 26 cases of Harada's disease who did not receive massive corticosteroid. The follow-up period ranged from 8 to 15 years, average 11 years 3 months. The final visual acuity was 1.0 or better in 84%, 0.5 to 0.9 in 8%, and less than 0.4 in 8%. Complicated cataract had developed in 18%. There was no instance which took a protracted course. The findings show that the majority of cases of Harada's disease may resolve over longer periods without initial treatment with massive corticosteroid.
