ヒト白内障の水晶体上皮細胞増殖能の混濁部位からみた検討（第2報）

Growth potential of lens epithelial cells in relation to type of cataract. Report 2.

　前嚢下に混濁を伴う皮質白内障，核白内障，後嚢下白内障，全白内障を対象として，ヒト白内障の水晶体上皮細胞の増殖能と混濁部位との関係を短期培養法により調査した。この結果，前嚢下に混濁を伴う皮質白内障では，核白内障，後嚢下白内障と比べて，水晶体上皮細胞に増殖能の低減がみられた。全白内障では，前嚢下に混濁を伴っているが，核白内障，後嚢下白内障と比べて，水晶体上皮細胞の増殖能低減はなかった。上皮細胞の増殖能は，混濁部位と混濁進行程度で異なり，白内障発生に関する上皮細胞の関与を知るうえで重要な知見と考えた。

We cultured the lens epithelial cells obtainedduring cataract surgery. There was a significantlyreduced growth potential of cultured epithelial cellsfrom cortical cataract with opaque anterior capsuleas compared with those from nuclear cataract,posterior subcapsular cataract or mature cataract.
