  • Look Inside

We evaluated 42 eyes who underwent photorefractive keratectomy (PRK) with excimer laser for myopia. These eyes showed decreased contrast sensitivity when compared with normal eyes and myopic ones wearing hard contact lenses. Degree of subepithelial opacity in the cornea was positively correlated with decrease in constrast sensitivity. Misplaced laser keratectomy did not influence the contrast sensitivity findings.
