未熟児網膜症に対して半導体レーザー光凝固を受けた既往のある小児29例54眼の屈折度を検索した。検査時には全例が瘢痕期分類1度で,年齢は1歳から6歳,平均3.1±1.4歳であった。等価球面に換算した屈折度は平均-1.68±3.54Dで,内訳は,遠視または正視21眼,-3D以下の近視20眼,-3.25Dから-6Dまで7眼,-6.25Dから-9Dまで3眼,-9.25Dから-14Dまで3眼であった。光凝固の範囲が広いものほど近視が強かった。瘢痕形成が強いと近視が強くなる傾向があるので,早期の屈折矯正が必要である。
We evaluated the state of refraction in 54 eyes of 29 children who had received diode laser photocoagula-tion for active retinopathy of prematurity (ROP). All the eyes had grade 1 of cicatricial stage of ROP at the time of ex-amination. Their ages ranged from 1 to 6 years, average 3.1±1.4 years. The spherical equivalent of refraction aver-aged -1.68±3.54D. The refractive state was either hyperopic or emmetropic in 21 eyes, myopic less than -3D in 20 eyes, between -3.25 and -6D in 7 eyes, between -6.25D and -9D in 3 eyes, and between -9.25D and -14D in 3 eyes. The degree of myopia was positively correlated with the extent of photocoagulation. Early correction is needed for children with refractive errors.
