真性小眼球症に増殖性硝子体網膜症を合併した1例

Proliferative diabetic retinopathy in a case of nanophthalmos

（P3-3-11）　真性小眼球症の30歳男性にT左眼の増殖性硝子体網膜症を生じた1例を報告した。硝子体手術前に超音波生体顕微鏡検査（ultrasound biomicroscopy：UBM）を行い，得られた所見から，角膜輪部から2.5mmの場所で強膜創を作成した。術中，強膜創作成に伴う合併症はなかった。網膜切開とシリコーンオイル注入により後極部網膜の復位が得られた。小眼球症に対する硝子体手術では強膜創作成時に角膜輪部からの距離をあらかじめ考慮する必要があり，この点UBMは有用である。

Proliferative diabetic retinopathy developed in the left eye of a 30-year—old male with nanophthalmos. Prior to vitrectomy, the site of scleral incision at 2.5 mm from the limbus was determined using an ultrasound biomicroscope (UBM) . There were no intraoperative complications around the site of sclerotomy. The retina could be reattached after relaxation retinotomy and silicone oil tamponade. This case illustrates the value of UBM in determining the site of sclerotomy during vitrectomy for a nanophthalmic eye.
