ウノプロストン点眼液使用時に生じた眼瞼部多毛症

Palpebral hirsutism following instillation of unoprostone ophthalmic solution

　ウノプロストン点眼薬を点眼していた緑内障患者88症例154眼につき，眼瞼多毛症の有無を細隙灯顕微鏡で検索した。うち3例4眼に眼瞼多毛症があり，睫毛も太く長くなっていた。2例では，点眼中止により多毛症は寛解した。片眼のみに点眼していた22例を同様に検索し，うち15例（68％）に下眼瞼のうぶ毛に左右差があり，点眼側で多かった。ウノプロストン点眼は，眼瞼のうぶ毛を増加させ，睫毛を太く長くする可能性がある。

A series of 154 eyes of 88 patients were evaluated by slitlamp biomicroscopy. All the cases had been under treatment by unoprostone ophthalmic solution for glaucoma. Palpebral hirsutism was present in 4 eyes of 3 cases. All the 4 eyes also showed prolongation and thickening of cilia. Discontinuation of unoprostone in 2 cases induced normalization of the cilia. Examination in another series of 22 cases undergoing unilateral unoprostone instillation showed palpebral hirsutism in the treated eye in 15 cases (68%) . These findings show that prolonged instillation of unoprostone ophthalmic solution may induce palpebral hirsutism and trichomegaly.
