糖尿病網膜症の修飾因子—Ⅲ．星状硝子体症

Factors modifying diabetic retinopathy. Report Ⅲ : Asteroid hyalosis

（18-P1-36）　片眼に星状硝子体症（AH）を合併したインスリン非依存性糖尿病網膜症患者8例16眼における後部硝子体剥離の網膜症の進行への影響をretrospectiveに検討した。AH眼では完全後部硝子体剥離の発症は3眼と少なかった。完全後部硝子体剥離を生じた眼では全例網膜症の進行をみなかった。AH眼で，後部硝子体未剥離は5眼と多く，黄斑症の発生や網膜症の増悪をみた。AHは後部硝子体の状態を介して網膜症に影響を与える。

We reviewed the implication of posterior vitreous detachment on the progression of diabetic retinopathy in 8 patients. All the patients had non-insulin dependent diabetes mellitus and unilateral asteroid hyalosis. Complete posterior vitreous detachment was present in 3 of the 8 eyes with asteroid hyalosis. In all these 3 eyes, the retinopathy either regressed or remained stationary. Diabetic retinopathy either progressed or developed maculopathy in the other 5 eyes with asteroid hyalosis and without complete posterior vitreous detachment. Presence of asteroid hyalosis in the absence of posterior vitreous detachment was considered to be a risk factor for the progression of diabetic retinopathy.
