水晶体嚢外摘出術と超音波乳化吸引術後のquality of vision

Quality of vision in pseudophakic persons after extracapsular cataract extraction or phacoemulsification-aspiration

　白内障手術に対する患者の自覚症状を，水晶体嚢外摘出術＋眼内レンズ挿入術の群と超音波水晶体乳化吸引術＋眼内レンズ挿入術の群（以下PEA＋IOL群）で比較するため，当科にて白内障手術を行った患者に対して，無記名アンケート調査を行い結果を検討した。「手術した眼を使っている」「眼鏡を使っている」「使用している眼鏡で不便はない」「眼鏡なしでもよく見える」「手術を受けて良かった」「他眼も手術を受ける」と答えたものの割合は，両群間で有意差はなかった．「手術後の見え方に満足している」「手術後の日常生活に満足している」と答えたものの割合は，PEA＋IOL群のほうが有意に高かった。

The state of subjective comfort following cataract surgery with intraocular lens implantation was evaluated in 80 uniocularly operated parsons. The series comprised 40 patients who underwent extracap-sular cataract extraction and another 40 ones who underwent phacoemulsification and aspiration. The evaluation was based on questionnaire sent 3 months after surgery. The results showed no differences between both surgical procedures regarding postsurgical vision with or without spectacles. Corneal astigma-tism was significantly greater in the former group than the latter.
