We treated 5 eyes with luxated lens by pars plana intravitreal phacoemulsification. The lens luxation was caused by blunt trauma in 2 eyes and idiopathic in 3 eyes. The luxated lens was located in the vitreous in 3 eyes and anterior to the vitreous in 2 eyes. Five eyes underwent transscleral suture fixation of posterior chamber lens following vitreous surgery. The postoperative visual acuity ranged from 0.09 to 1.0. It improved in 3 eyes and remained unchanged in 2 eyes. This surgical procedure should be added to options in the management of lens luxation, as it does not need special instrumentations and can be performed through small corneoscleral incisions.
