アカントアメーバ角膜炎の3症例4眼

Acanthamoeba keratitis in four eyes of three cases

　両眼発症例1例を含むアカントアメーバ角膜炎の3症例4眼を報告する。2症例は角膜擦過物，1症例はソフトコンタクトレンズとその保存液の大腸菌無栄養培地からアカントアメーバが分離されたことからアカントアメーバ角膜炎と診断した。片眼発症例で両眼のソフトコンタクトレンズからアカントアメーバが検出された症例が1例あった。アカントアメーバ角膜炎の報告は片眼発症例が多いが，コンタクトレンズ使用者の場合，両眼にコンタクトレンズを使用することが多い。アカントアメーバ角膜炎を片眼に認めた場合は他眼の検索を十分に行い，両眼発症を防ぐことが重要である。

We observed Acanthamoeba karatitis in 3 cases. Both eyes were involved in one patient. All were habitual contact wearers. The diagnosis was established by positive culture of Acanthamoeba from corneal scrapings in 2 cases and from preserving solution for contact lens the other. Acanthamoeba was isolated from soft contact lenses in both eyes in a unilaterally affected case. We advocate due attention to the possibility of bilateral contamination of contact lens even in unilaterally affected Acanthamoeba keratitis.
