Ocular findings of systemic lupus erythematosus

　全身性エリテマトーデス（SLE）患者40例の網脈絡膜症合併の頻度を調査した。網脈絡膜症合併の頻度は10例（25％）で，内訳は，網膜出血，白斑のみが4例，漿液性網膜剥離が3例（1例は重複）網膜静脈炎，網膜中心静脈閉塞症，胞状網膜剥離，急性網膜壊死がそれぞれ1例であった。内科主症状のうち腎症の合併した症例，厚生省SLE活動性指標が高い症例では網脈絡膜症の合併頻度が高かった。このことから，腎症が合併したりSLEの活動性が高い症例では，網脈絡膜症の合併に対し特に注意が必要である。

In a review of 40 patients with systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE), retinopathy was present in 10 patients, 25%. Cottonwool exudates or retinal hemorrhages were present in 4 patients. Serous retinal detachment was present in 2. The remaining4 patients showed a variety of ocular lesions: cen-tral retinal vein occlusion, retinal phlebitis, bullous retinal detachment and acute retinal necrosis com-plicated by serous retinal detachment in one eye each. The rather high incidence of retinopathy in the present series was apparently due to presence of active SLE or SLE-related nephropathy.
