スギ花粉症に対する塩酸プロカテロール点眼液の眼誘発反応抑制効果

Suppression of ocular reactions in cedar pollinosis by procaterol hydrochloride eyedrops

　スギ花粉症患者30例に，抗原による眼誘発試験を行い，0.003％，0.001％および0.0003％procaterol点眼液の涙液中ヒスタミン遊離抑制効果を検討した。右眼にprocaterol点眼液，左眼にplacebo点眼液を点眼し，10分後に，スギ抗原液を点眼して，アレルギー反応を誘発した。Proca-terol投与眼の誘発5分および10分後の涙液中ヒスタミン量は，対照眼に比べ，いずれの濃度においても有意なヒスタミン遊離抑制効果が認められたが，3濃度のヒスタミン遊離抑制効果の間には有意差はなかった。Procaterol点眼液はスギ花粉症に対する有効な薬剤であると考えられた。

We performed a provocative test in 30 patients with Japanese cedar pollinosis. The test subjects received procaterol hydrochloride eyedrops at 0.003%, 0.001% or 0.0003% in the right eye and placebo eyedrops in the left. Cedar antigen was instilled in both eyes to induce allergic reactions 10minutes later. Histamine levels in the lacrimal fluid 5 and 10 minutes after instillation of antigen were significantly lower in the right eye than the left for all concentrations of procaterol eyedrops. The sup-pressive effect of procaterol was dose-independent.Procaterol hydrochloride ophthalmic solution promises to be of value in the prophylaxis and treatment of cedar pollinosis.
