　右涙嚢部腫脹および流涙を主訴とする，62歳女性の右涙嚢原発の　inverted transitionalpapillomaの1症例を経験した。右涙嚢部腫瘤を触知して2年半後，腫瘍は鼻涙管を通じて下鼻道の鼻涙管開口部にまで進展し，腫瘍摘出術を行った。Inverted papillomaは急速な発育をし，悪性化率，腫瘍摘出後の再発率ともに高いため，悪性腫瘍に準じ，広汎切除が必要であり，定期的な経過観察が重要と思われた。

A 62-year-old female presented with epiphora and tumor in the right lacrimal sac region. Thetumor mass enlarged rapidly during the ensuing 10 months. Biopsy showed it as inverted transitional papilloma with cylindrical cell type. The tumor was completely resected without recurrence during follow-up of 12 months. Inverted transitional papil-loma of lacrimal sac necessitates particular atten-tion because of its rapid growth and possibility to become malignant.
